Frequently Asked Questions

What do your packages include?

The basic package starts with an oil on linen painting.  We will decide beforehand what the subject matter will be and how many people will need to have good likenesses.  When we’re clear on what the project entails, then we’ll sign a contract and lock it in with a $500 deposit.  The balance and any travel, shipping, and other costs are due prior to the event.

I will come to the location a couple of hours early, set up my equipment and supplies, and paint throughout the event.  I'll take a LOT of reference photographs.  At the end of the event, I’ll take the artwork back to my studio for final finishing and touchup.  About 2-4 weeks later, I’ll send you photos of the finished painting.  When you approve it, I’ll deliver it to you.

I can also work from photos (please see the different services offered on the "services" page).  These will also be completed on linen and will be of the same quality as a live painting.

Can you paint a wedding/event that has already happened?

Yes I can! I use professional photos from your wedding as a reference for the painting. I complete the painting in my studio, and then upon your approval, I coat it with a protective varnish and ship it directly to you. Depending on your location, I may ship it stretched on the canvas, or if you are international, I will remove the canvas from the stretcher bars (frame) and ship it to you rolled in a tube.

What areas do you serve?

Primarily North and South Carolina, eastern Tennessee, and northern Georgia.  However, I am willing to travel anywhere in the U.S.  If the location is more than a two hour drive from Franklin, NC, I will have to charge for travel.  Don't worry, I am very reasonable!

Do you have a guarantee?

Yes!  I will work with you to make sure you like the results.  If, despite all that, you still don’t like the painting, I will keep it and refund all but the deposit and travel costs.
